The state’s new FAQ section provides great support in how to use the unclaimed money search system.  All claims do require verification of ownership, either via photo ID or social security verification.  If additional documentation is required you will be notified in writing.  For deceased relatives you will need a court approved ‘next of kin’ document in order to complete the claim.  All claims vary in processing time and can take up to 90 days to complete.
