Since Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar took office in 2015, his office has returned over $2 billion in unclaimed money and unclaimed property.  That money has been paid out to around 2 million individuals which is an average of nearly $1,000 per claim!  The Texas unclaimed money program has returned over $3 billion since its inception
